TOPIC: DropBox Syncing Not working

Hi,

Set up Dropbox syncing today (for some reason I can not reach update center at home, but can elsewhere - please give me an ip address to try pinging.)

Read the faq and did those things (1. update plugins, 2. point at top level etc.)

Tried syncing with test data. A few times it went over.

Had a long session where I entered a bunch of thoughts on my desktop. Saved file. Ran sync from iphone. None of those thoughts are showing up on my iphone. Earlier they were going back and forth (I think.)

I tried the solution that rtofeinberg had (changingg where things point in desktop version) to try getting this to work. No luck.

I have also tried all the steps outlined in the "sync with dropbox" faq.

Mucked with firewall on laptop to enable plugin updates at home. I can get updates now. Applied all updates.

Now iphone sync runs till Ref Item updates and locks up.

unlinked and linked to dropbox from iphone and now sync completes - still no thoughts moving from Mac to iphone via sync.

Thanks Claire for the clarification.

Thoughts go from phone to desktop so when I saw it "disapearing" it is working as designed.
