I too am in a similar situation on a task. I believe one of the GTD lists to keep is a "Waiting On" list. Could you consider adding a field called "Waiting On" and make it a simple text entry. That way I could add a tab for actions which are "Waiting On" somebody or something.

As this list is one of those mentioned in the first GTD book, and I am new to learning the process and your software, perhaps there is another approach recommended.

Thank you for your consideration.

Hello sshoda,

I use the delegate function for these actions.

For example an action where I am waiting for an answer of a customer, I delegate this action to this customer.
The I created a tab where all delegated actions are listed, so I always have a list with all the actions where I am waiting for somebody or something.

So in my opinion it is not necessary add an additional field for that.

I think this will also work for you.

Best regards,
Benjamin

I wondered about when to apply the delegate field. I was considering applying it in more formal delegation scenarios. I can definitely utilize it in the manner you suggest.

Thanks!

I use Delegate the same way Benjamin describes when I am waiting for something (from someone or from the post office, for example).
